Lunch with a Squirell
A squirrel, lemongrass and turmeric |
Gutted and cleaned |
- squirrel (roughly 400g), cut into bite size
- three sticks of lemon grass, crushed
- thumb sized of turmeric, crushed
- 3 medium sized red onion, diced
- 1/4 cup of cooking oil
- salt and pepper for seasoning
- 1/4 water

So let us begin...
- In a wok, heat up oil under high heat. Add on diced onion, crushed lemon grass and turmeric and constantly stir the mixture to prevent from charred.
- Add the squirrel into the wok and stir fry under high heat for 6-8 minute. Add 1/4 of water just to allow the meat to cook thoroughly. Lets the juice reduces until it become thick, creamy gravy.
- Season with salt and pepper. Served with rice.
